Put simply flash is an animation program that can produce high quality multimedia files. In addition to this it uses a number of techniques to ensure that the final product is as streamlined as possible, thus creating files that can be downloaded reasonably quickly.

Flash Uses

1. Web Authoring - I can design website's that are completely made up of flash animation like my such as Liza Finn and First Paige or I can design you a normal HTML website and incorporate small flash movies into the pages such as Perche et Demeures.
2. Presentations - In addition to be being used on web pages, Flash movies can also be used as a presentation tool. To do this, the Flash movie is played through a standalone application. This can then be burned onto a cd/dvd/ebusiness card for external viewing.
3. E-commerce - Flash contains a powerful language called Actionscript which is ideal for ecommerce use. The benefits of using flash for an ecommerce solution over the more traditional html approach is that it gives you the chance to make your store front and shopping experience truly unique.

Liza Finn: Liza came to me asking for a fun, funky flash site allowing her to showcase her music and displaying promotional photos and listing gigs and news. The finished site uses a pure flash site with an HTML blog for news/gigs.
